Presented in connection with the 90-Second Newbery Film Festival, Treehouse offers aspiring young filmmakers (ages 7 - 11) a chance to work together to create a digital masterpiece based on a Newbery award winning book. Taught by the Treehouse Youtube team, Wes Whitby and Caden Ware. Camp attendees will learn and help plan, film, act in, and edit their film. This camp will run from Tuesday, August 10th through Friday, August 13th from 10 - 12 each day. The final project will be entered for adjudication in the 90-Second Newbery Film Festival and will be featured on the Museum’s Youtube channel! Cost is $50 for each member child and $100 for nonmembers.

For children age 7 to 11 (currently in grades 1 through 5), this workshop, taught by Treehouse Troupe Director, Wes Whitby, lets young actors Step on Stage at Treehouse by learning about writing, costuming, staging, and acting in a play (to be filmed at the end of the week). 10 a.m. to 12 noon daily, Tuesday, July 13 through Friday, July 13. It’s just a day or two over a month away from reopening day at Treehouse on Tuesday, June 1. Tickets will be available on our website free for members beginning May. We’ll also be signing up for summer classes at Treehouse that day, too.
