90 Second Newbery Film Festival

Walk the Red Carpet into the Simmons Storybook Theater, pick up your free movie candy, and watch some of this year's best from the annual film festival where all the movies are made by kids! That's right, youth from all over the country pick a Newbery Award-winning book to adapt, give the plot a twist, and film their own short movie with hilarious results. There are even some movies made by kids here at Treehouse! Two Treehouse friends and nationally published authors, James Kennedy and Keir Graff, are here to host the showing at Treehouse. James is not only an author, he's the founder of the 90-Second Newbery Film Festival which is shown in Boston, Chicago, and other big cities around the each year and – for the 4th year in a row – at Treehouse Museum in Ogden, Utah.

Alice in Wonderland Meet and Greet Party at Chick-fil-A on 12th Street

Our friends at Chick-fil-A and Alice, the Queen of Hearts, and the White Rabbit invite you to play some games for prizes from Treehouse and Chick-fil-A and help raise some needed funds for Treehouse. If you order your dinner on Chick-fil-A’s app you can click to donate part of transaction to Treehouse or if you come inside Chick-fil-A you can put a donation in the Mad Hatter’s hat.

Please note that this special event will be held at the 12th Street Chick-Fil-A, not at the Museum. We'll see you there for some fun and chicken nuggies!

On Track To Reading Featuring the WSU Storytelling Festival

This week, Treehouse and On Track to Reading are partnering with the Weber State Storytelling Festival for a special storytelling event! Treehouse’s own Wes Whiby and special guest storyteller Antonio Sacre will both be telling unique stories just for our preschool guests at 11 a.m. as a part of this award winning annual festival!

On Track to Reading is a school readiness program just for preschoolers and their grown-ups.

You can also join us for "Baby Talk with Baby Bear" for ages birth to 3 and their adults. Haylee and Juniper, a mother and baby team, and Jennifer the grandmother, will share finger plays, rhymes, board books, and more just for the very smallest of our On Track participants. "Baby Talk" will start at 10:30 a.m. and last just 15 minutes in the One World Village.

Family Literacy Night with the WSU Storytelling Festival at Treehouse

Two free sessions with great storytellers! Wes Whitby, Treehouse’s own amazing Programs Manager, will share a favorite story just for preschoolers and their grownups at our On Track to Reading in the morning. Then in the evening featured storyteller Antonio Sacre, who grew up bilingually and whose stories have been published in award-winning books and audio recordings, will take the stage in the Storybook Theater at Treehouse. This Festival event is free, all you need to do is reserve a free ticket to attend!
