Holidays of Light Around the World

Santa Lucia, Las Posadas, and Weihnachten are just some of the Christmas adjacent traditions we’ll be learning about this afternoon as we continue our Holidays of Light Celebration at Treehouse Museum! Our Art Garden features Paper Bag Pinatas throughout the day and we’ll be talking about holiday traditions that include parades and processions at 1 p.m. Join us at 2 to play Holiday Bingo and at 3 p.m. for “The Baker’s Dozen,” a ParticiPlay from Old New Amsterdam.

Holidays of Light Around the World

Treehouse’s winter holiday fun continues with three more festivals of light! Throughout the afternoon visitors will be using chalk and paper to design and create a Rangoli for Diwali! At 1 p.m. we’ll be talking about Hanukkah and playing the dreidel game in the Museum’s One World Village. And at 3 p.m. families can learn about Kwanzaa traditions as we ParticiPlay an African wisdom tale in the Treehouse Theater.

Thanksgiving Celebration

If you missed our Thanksgiving Celebration the Saturday before Thanksgiving, don’t worry, we’re still celebrating on the day after the Holiday. We’ll begin at Noon and again at 3 p.m. with a Treehouse ParticiPlay of on our theater main-stage. Then we’ll ask our visitors to help us repeat our Treehouse Thanksgiving Parade at 1 p.m. Thanksgiving games round out the celebration, with a Native American inspired art project in the Treehouse Art Garden throughout the day!

This event is free with Admission, no tickets required! Just come and join the fun.
