Treehouse staff and Board are committed to helping grownups have the resources they need to teach their children. Right now in our nation and communities, and maybe around your dinner table, there are important conversations taking place about equality and justice. Sometimes a great children’s book can help parents and grandparents talk about the big issues of racism, inclusion, and diversity in ways children can understand. We’d like to recommend some of our favorites books:
Treehouse worked with 8 Northern Utah school district to distribute “Get Ready for Kindergarten with Miss Bindergarten Activity Books," and the children's book by Joe Slate and Ashley Wolff that inspired the project, to children starting Kindergarten this fall.
We're looking forward to welcoming schools this fall for 2 hour tours at Treehouse Museum. Treehouse is proud to be a partner with so many schools, districts, and educators in providing curriculum enhancements that ensure children have fun, unique experiences as they "step into a story" with us. Tour options include the “Walk in the Woods” tour for Kindergarten through 3 grade students and our ever popular "Fairy Tales Tour." Other tours include World Tales, Utah Tales, and American Tales, plus Holidays of Light in late November and December.
