Daily Programs

Throughout the day Treehouse staff and volunteers share stories, lead exhibit discovery activities, offer games, and more. These informal activities are announced as they happen, and visitors are invited to participate as they like. However, in addition, Treehouse offers even more daily programming, all free with the price of admission.

Art Garden Activities

Art Garden Workshop

RAMPed Up Art in the Treehouse Art Garden features fun art projects inspired by the illustrations and stories of children’s literature. Projects use a variety of mediums – paint, clay, collage, chalk, pastels, watercolor and paper – an exciting way to further explore popular and classic children’s books.

The Art Garden is open:

  • 3:00 to 5:00 p.m., Tuesday – Friday (September through May)
  • 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Saturdays (and weekdays in the summertime)

Step on Stage

Step on Stage daily theater programs feature a variety of interactive experiences in the performing arts including Treehouse ParticiPlays™, puppet activities, occasional guest and traveling performers, and more.

Step on Stage theater programs are presented daily at

  • 4:00 p.m., Tuesday – Friday (September through May)
  • 1:00 and 3:00 p.m., Saturdays
