Teachers, librarians, and parents are invited to meet the award-winning children’s book illustrator and author of dozens of books like “Float,” “Bring Me a Rock,” and “Hope at Sea: An Adventure Story.” Daniel will also talk about his newest publication, a graphic novel titled “How to Say Good-bye in Cuban.” Daniel will share ideas on how to encourage children to get excited about reading and how to arm children with strong visual literacy skills. Copies of Daniel’s books will be for sale.

Be one of the first families to sign up for this new program at Treehouse. Get the first beautiful children’s book of nine your family will receive free when you register for the Book Club. At the October 3 program we’ll discuss ideas from the book and do special activities inspired by the plot and its characters. At the end of the program, families will receive the next book we’ll read and discuss in November. Families will also be able to select a free book for each child from a selection of new books provided by ReaderLink. The Book Club is limited to 30 families.
