Every year Treehouse Museum closes for our deeper cleaning. We replace worn carpet and scrub all our carpeted and tile floors. We clean our giant tree and all its thousands of leaves. We touch up paint and thoroughly clean each exhibit. We install new exhibit pieces. As you can imagine, it takes a bit of time and lots of staff and volunteers. This year we are closing Beginning Tuesday, August 29 and we’ll reopen – all shiny and bright – on Tuesday, September 26. We extend memberships for an extra month so members don’t lose any time on their year-long membership. Watch our website for videos of the cleaning process and to see what we are doing with exhibits.
