On Track to Reading leaves the station again with Phylis Savage, the Treehouse Music Lady driving the train! Program conductors Will and Caden will join Phyllis again for another season of the Museum’s weekly story, song, and art program just for preschoolers and their parents! All Aboard! On Track to Reading is a school readiness program just for preschoolers and their grown-ups.

You can also join us for "Baby Talk with Baby Bear" for ages birth to 3 and their adults. Haylee and Juniper, a mother and baby team, and Jennifer the grandmother, will share finger plays, rhymes, board books, and more just for the very smallest of our On Track participants. "Baby Talk" will start at 10:30 and last just 15 minutes in the One World Village.

Spend A Day With 6 Award-Winning Authors!

Brian Floca! Ashley Wolff! Yamile Saied Mendez! April Jones Prince! René Colato Lainez! Keir Graff!

This special event has been planned for teachers, librarians, and aspiring authors (ages 11 and up). Our guest author will talk about their work in sessions in the Treehouse Storybook Theater. Participants will also enjoy a boxed lunch with  our guests.

If you want to bring your younger ones and meet our authors, please join us Saturday, all day, for author talks, fun games, and a whole celebration for everyone to come enjoy. Our exhibits will be open, and there's no reservations required, just come join the fun!

Regular Treehouse will be closed today for the Seminar.

Party With Us and Our 6 Award-Winning Author Guests!

Families are invited to meet the six guest authors and hear them read a selection from one of their many published books. There will be six activities throughout the Museum based on one of the books of each author. The Art Garden will be open with a special projects inspired by the illustrations of Brian Floca and Ashley Wolff, who are illustrators as well as authors. The six guests will be signing their books for families at scheduled times throughout the day.

This event is  free thanks to our generous sponsors and no pre registration required.

It’s monster movement and story time this week as we explore monster feelings and emotions. And in the Art Garden today we’re using oversized dice to count and create monster art! On Track to Reading is a school readiness program just for preschoolers and their grown-ups.

Climb into your costume and join us for a new version of our annual Halloween event. We’ll start with a costume parade through the Museum to wave at our storybook Tricksters. When the parade is over children can get a Treehouse Pumpkin Treat Bag and go back and visit with each Trickster, play their game, snap a photo, and a get a treat. At announced times, children and their adults can join the Treehouse Troupe for a Trickster Tale in the Theater that both children and adults will love.

You must have a ticket for each child to participate. Tickets are limited.
