In honor of the unofficial “space story” holiday this Saturday, we’ll be going Sci-Fi at the museum. At 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. we’ll be sharing an interactive ParticiPlay mashup of some of our favorite fairy tales - done up in an intergalactic way. In the art garden we’ll be using loose parts (recycled materials) to design a droid or space worthy vehicle to take home. And at 1 p.m. we’ll pull out our bee bots to let families check out and practice simple robot programming. May the fourth “bee bot” with you.

There’s a marathon in O-town this morning, and at Treehouse Museum we are keeping pace, by retelling the story of one of folklore’s most famous races, “The Tortoise and the Hare,” with interactive retellings at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. We’ll also be making tortoise hats in the Museum’s Art Garden throughout the day and playing a family obstacle course game in the 1 o’clock hour.
