Special Program

Step into the world of wizards with at a very special free event held at the Young Mazda Showroom at 4020 S. Riverdale Road on February 3 from Noon to 3 p.m. There will be all kinds of magical activities including magic shows, wand and spellbook building, ParticiPlays®, wizard games, and more! Don't forget to bring a can, jar, or package of food to donate to Catholic Community Services to help feed those in need in our community. This special free event does not require a ticket or reservation to attend. Simply come to the Young Mazda showroom to join the fun!

Ticketed Event

Join our wonderful music teacher Phyllis Savage and our On Track hosts Will and Caden for the preschool version of our annual Lunar New Year Celebration. On Track visitors will learn about this fun Chinese tradition and even take turns dancing with Treehouse’s Chinese Dragon puppet on a musical mini-parade. In the Art Garden we’ll also be making hand-held dragon dance puppets to take home and continue the fun. On Track to Reading is a school readiness program just for preschoolers and their grown-ups.

You can also join us for "Baby Talk with Baby Bear" for ages birth to 2 and their adults. Haylee and Juniper (a mother and baby team) will share finger plays, rhymes, board books, and more just for the very smallest of our On Track participants. "Baby Talk" will start at 10:30 and last just 20 minutes in the One World Village.

Special Program

For a donation of $1 per book  you can pick up a brand-new books for children, teens, and grown-ups, too, at the ReaderLink Buck-a-Book sale!

ReaderLink has access to hundreds of books they periodically sell to the public and for a donation of only $1 per book you can not only get new reading material, but you can support Treehouse, too. All the proceeds from this book sale will be donated to Treehouse to help with our educational programs for children, families, and schools.

This special event will be held in the ReaderLink's building at the BDO (1019 W 400 N in Ogden).

Special Program

It is now officially the year of the Dragon, and Treehouse visitors can help celebrate Lunar New Year this Saturday with a Chinese Dragon Dance! At 1:00 PM Museum guests will take turns dancing the Museum’s dragon parade puppet around the museum and making music for the dancers as assisted by Treehouse staff and volunteers. The Treehouse Simmon’s Storybook Theater will feature a Chinese folk tale called “The Grateful Snake,” with participatory performances at 11:00 AM and 3:00 PM, and the Museum’s Art Garden will also be open throughout the day so that children can make their own paper dragon dance puppets to take home and continue the celebration.

We’re rolling out the red carpet for young adult authors James Kennedy and Keir Graft who are returning to Treehouse to show us all the latest and greatest of the Newbery Film Festival, featuring the most creative retellings of beloved Newbery Award-winning books--written, filmed, and acted in by children. Witty, silly, and so much fun, you will love seeing the films and getting to know James and Keir.

Tickets for this very special event is completely free for members and non-members alike, but must be reserved in advance. Everyone attending the event will need a ticket.

Special Program

Come and hear magical stories told in Spanish and English with Carolina Quiroga, who knows how to spin tales children and adults will love.

Carolina is a bilingual storyteller who engages her audience with Latin American stories from El Río Grande to La Patagonia. Since arriving in the US, she has been featured at the National Storytelling Festival, among other events, and it is her second time participating at the Weber State University Storytelling Festival in Ogden, Utah. Carolina has toured numerous schools, libraries, museums, and cultural institutions from east to west, sharing the richness of Latin American and Hispanic folklore.

This event is held in conjunction with the Weber State University Storytelling Festival.
