Special Program

We're celebrating Brain Awareness Month in partnership with the Neuroscience Department faculty and students at Weber State University. Neuroscience majors will be here in the morning with special activities and the fun will continue in the afternoon led by Treehouse staff. Come exercise your brain as we solve puzzles, test our senses, learn fascinating facts about our brains in fun games, and learn how to keep our brains healthy and safe! These activities are all  free with your admission.

It’s an Engineering Adventure Day with the Knights of Treehouse! Visitors can participate with their family team in a castle building contest at 12 and 2 and then use the Treehouse catapult to try to knock their fortresses down! Medieval ParticiPlays happen in the Treehouse Castle Theater at 11 a..m and 3 p.m. All of these amazing activities are free with your admission or membership.

We’ll play the opposite matching game with our Matching Tree, and make opposite books in our Art Garden! Learning to recognize opposites and differences is an important part of learning to make comparisons and is a key component to vocabulary acquisition and reading development! Please note that this two-hour long program is just for preschoolers and their grown-ups.

Interested in medicine or just want to learn more about how your amazing body works? This is the STEAM Learning Lab night for you. Learn about your blood and how your body protects you from invaders. Make your own Petri Art project in the Art Garden, look at photos of what a laboratory scientist sees through a microscope, and more. There’s even a fun ParticiPlay in the theater about Little Red Blood Cell and her journey to take oxygen to Grandma. Students from the Medical Laboratory Science Department and faculty members will be here with the activities and to answer questions.  Don’t miss this STEAM event at Treehouse!
